How to change jdk 1.6 to 1.7 in Eclipse

First lets make sure that we are on jdk1.6, cause if we are on jdk1.7, there is no reason to make any changes.
- Open Eclipse in navigation bar
- Go to Preferences

- Under Java find “Installed JREs”

- If you does not have jdk1.7(8), but it is installed on your computer, remember how to find it out via Terminal? Open terminal and type: java -version (don’t forget click “return/enter” button)

- if right jdk is not installed follow the steps How to install JDK on your computer
- We assume that you have installed right jdk on your machine
- Now you need add jdk1.7(8) to Eclipse, click “Add” button
- Select “Standard VM”
- Click “Next” button

- Select jdk location directory on my computer is /Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/jdk1.7.0_65.jdk/Contents/Home
- JRE name: Home
- Click “Finish” button

- Now jdk 1.7 should be linked to your Eclipse
- Select it and click “ok” button
